Patel Conservatory Audition

Hello there :) Here's my experience with the audition for the Next Generation Ballet at Chicago:
The audition took place at Joffrey Tower, so the studio was very nice. We took an elevator up to the second floor, then were taken up two more floors by stairs (nice warm-up I guess, as it was FREEZING outside.) We were lead into the studio where we received our numbers. I left my bags in the hallway, though some kept theirs in the studio. There were about 20 kids auditioning, including four boys. We all seemed to be around age 12-17 or so.
The class its self was very nice. Peter Stark, the Artistic Director, did everything. It felt very personal, like a smallish master class. He gave us all very nice corrections during the class, all while judging and telling about the program.
I was accepted into the program, but with my current teachers advice I have decided to stay at home for the summer unless I get a scholarship at the Regional Dance America auditions. It seems like a very good program, and I may audition again next year :)

New Series!

Hola!
Bonjour!
Salut!
Tag!
...Yeah, I'm a bit hyper. And slap happy. Moving on.
Over the weekend I attended two auditions, one to Patel Conservatory and one to Ballet Chicago. I will also be auditioning to Nashville Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet. So I thought... Why not blog about them?
So soon (possibly tomorrow) I will be writing about my experiences at all my recent auditions, and then write about my others as well. Sound good?
Good. Because you don't have any choice.
See you soon, and happy dancing!

Tea? Why, yes.

First off, I love tea, especially green tea. It tastes good, and I drink it all the time. While this may also be because I don't like soda... meh, it's still good. Just a few benefits of tea:

  1. It's pretty much flavored water, and everyone needs to stay hydrated!
  2. No calories; zero, zip, nada. Unless you add stuff of course.
  3. TONS of antioxidants, meaning they can get rid of feeling weak and tired in the morning.
  4. Green tea boosts the immune system. No more getting sick in the winter!
Of course, these are just a few. For more benefits, go here and learn more about the amazing green tea :)
